Sometimes you just gotta dip your head in a river, y'know?
We learned on our ride with Joe that he used to be in a few bands back in the day, and also owned a record label with some friends. He got to record an early demo of Ben Gibbard from Death Cab For Cutie at a studio located in an abandoned old school in Washington owned by none other than K Record's guru Calvin Johnson. Pretty neat stuff!
The FarmFest 2012 Festival grounds, early Thursday morning before the hard work and hard play all began. We were the first two people to rise on the grounds before the festival. It was quite an experience seeing the empty land, and then watching it quickly turn into a paradise for music lovers from all walks of life.
