This here is a photo of a man named Nick, who picked us up from Eugene, OR and drove us to Portland. He was one of our favorite people we have encountered so far. Nick was on his way from San Francisco to Seattle where he lives, and works as a phys ed. teacher for elementary school students. A genuine good man, with a big heart. He insisted that when we took his photo we got his car and bicycle in there. He said "Jeepers" a lot, and also "wouldn't that just be paradise!"

Our friends Devon and Tyler. Both are from Ohio, and for the time being reside in Portland. We were so happy to see them, and they were kind enough to let us stay at their house for our time in town. We had a great time seeing the city with them, and watching Big Trouble in Little China!
